Cy and Morgan’s wedding at the end of the summer was an absolute whirlwind of beauty, elegance, and pure joy. From the very start, it was clear this day was going to be something special. Set in the stunning grounds of Stoneleigh Gardens, their wedding had a unique editorial vibe woven into every moment. With chic details like Morgan’s Jimmy Choo shoes, delicate orchids, and splashes of perfume in the air, it felt like the perfect mix of refined chaos. But what truly stood out was how personal and meaningful it all was. The couple cherished the getting-ready moments with their closest friends and family—it was intimate and filled with laughter, the kind of moments that make you fall in love with weddings all over again.
The portraits we captured were pure editorial magic. Moody, chic, and utterly timeless. We leaned into the garden’s natural elegance, using the stone walls and vibrant colors of the setting to frame the shots. The wedding party outfits were a fun, colorful mix, and I loved the mix-and-match vibes from the bridal party. It all came together seamlessly, adding a fresh, stylish energy to the day. Every part of the wedding screamed editorial garden party, blending soft florals and lush greenery with a modern, fashion-forward edge.
The ceremony was tucked away in a serene corner of the garden at Terrain Devon, surrounded by blooming flowers and sunshine. Just as Cy and Morgan exchanged their vows, a storm started brewing, adding an unexpected, dramatic twist to the day. Right after the ceremony, the wind began to pick up, and we were swept away by the storm—a moment so cinematic, I made a reel to capture the vibe (watch it here). Despite the chaos, Cy and Morgan were simply overjoyed to be married, their happiness radiating through every photo we took. The storm only added to the magic, creating some truly unforgettable moments. My second shooter and I loved playing with the different angles and capturing every detail of the day, especially with the storm building in the background.
As the evening progressed, the party truly kicked off. Hidden beneath a lush trellis, cocktail hour was full of warmth and laughter, with family members gathered by the bar, indulging in delicious food. I then stepped into a beautifully lit reception space, where nighttime photos and full-flash photography brought out the lively, party vibe of the evening. The combination of moody, romantic portraits and the high-energy, flash-filled reception shots perfectly encapsulated the dynamic energy of Cy and Morgan’s wedding day. It was truly one for the books.
