Before this sunset engagement session in Tampa, Florida with Kenny and Mandy, I never bothered to travel to Tampa- but wow. We truly had the most stunning night with the sunset wrapping along the coast of Florida. A few photographer friends and I pulled this styled look together after having a specific engagement session vision of an old convertible alongside of the road in Fort De Soto, Florida; based right outside of Tampa.
Since this was a styled look, we wanted to find the purpose of our session within a storyline based around Kenny and Mandy. You’ll see looking over their gallery that their session started on the side of the road. This is where they ‘broke down’ in Fort De Soto, Florida. They decided instead of dwelling over their broken car, they took the opportunity to spend their time alone together… lost and in-love.
After looking at their map and trying to figure out a game plan, they ditched their convertible and ran out to the absolute breathtaking sunset along the coast. Hunting for sea shells, running through the waves, and creating a romantic evening out of their broken down car. While we were ‘stranded’ out on the beach, a thirty second downpour took over making this night even more perfect. We created together until we needed to use flashlights to get back to the convertible. What a dream.
Not to be cheesy but-
Honestly, this session taught me a load more than I anticipated. Rather than dwelling on the moment, focus on making the situation as ‘movie-esk’ as possible. You’ll even up making some beautiful, romantic memories. Two souls don’t find each other by simple accident. You can definitely tell that Kenny and Mandy are the perfect match made in Heaven.
