If this sounds like you- here are some tips on How to Elope in Pennsylvania.
When Eloping in Pennsylvania there aren’t the ‘cookie cutter’ elopement locations that couples usually choose. You can use this to your advantage though to create a super unique elopement specifically for you and your lover! Take a hike on different popular trails that have waterfalls, lookouts, or even just a quant hiking trail surrounded by the Pennsylvania forests.
Who says that your location has to be out in the wilderness or in the mountains. You could totally elope in your backyard overlooking the surrounding land or mountain scape. Do you feel the need to stay around Pennsylvania because you aren’t able to travel? Maybe the Pennsylvania terrain isn’t special to you and your lover? Adventure out! Ocean City, New Jersey or Cape May are both quick drives from Pennsylvania’s boarders! Maybe the beach is special to your relationship- if so, this is definitely an option!
When picking a location, keep in mind the time of day that would be best to elope at your spot. Some locations might be better at sunrise rather than sunset. The last thing you want is to have a ton of people killing the moment by walking past!
It might sound cheesy but it’s not always about the destination- make it be more about the adventure. Some amazing spots aren’t the easiest to get to & that’s okay! If you are looking to elope alone without family or friends, it’s easier to pick a hike that is solely based on your level of hiking or adventure. Having a photographer that is up for the travel or hike is key and then the rest falls in to place. Hiking to your dream spot can make perfect pictures and a sentimental, alone moment leading up to the actual elopement.
