I cannot tell you how many times I get asked from couples, “we are absolutely awful at posing and so awkward in front of the camera. Are you going to help us pose?!” OF COURSE! I don’t ever expect someone to show up to their engagement photoshoot with 10 poses in the back of their mind ready to crank them out for the camera. I always have my go-to engagement photoshoot poses ready to go before your session even begins!

“Is my photographer supposed to help me with poses during my engagement photoshoot?”

One of the best parts of being a photographer is coming up with fun and natural feelings prompts and poses that make you feel at ease during your engagement session. I walk you through step by step how to pose (I even tell you to smile or put on a serious face). It can’t get easier than that!) And YES, I even tell you where to put your hands! Feeling overly nervous for your engagement session deteriorates the exciting part of finally showing off your love for each other! This is supposed to be exciting!

I now present to you… Korey and Jen! They reached out to me a few months ago for their 2022 wedding! This was perfect timing to schedule their engagement session for the beginning of fall. And WOW- fall certainly delivered for their photoshoot. They took me to the most stunning, woodsy location I ever laid eyes on. I swear this location was the definition of fall! Korey and Jen were nervous to pose but after a few walking hip bumps, forehead kisses, and a champagne pop they were at ease and excited to see the turnout from their photoshoot.
